Do you have what it takes to be a poet of the Quill™ and have your voice heard amongst the ranks? Do you harbor a love of reading, writing, and sharing good poetry? Would you like to advance your poem writing skills amongst a grand community of poets and freedom writers discussing each other's works? If your answer is yes, then the Quilluminati™ Society of Poets is the safe haven you are looking for! Help us today in our quest to illuminate minds in a Poetic Renaissance, the likes of which the world has never seen!

Featuring a faux economy, called Street Cred, driven largely by community sentiment. Gather yourself a healthy following of admirers to raise your status in the community and be granted greater privileges. One day you may even be bestowed with authorities to help watch over our Poetic democracy, if it should be so desired by the Elders. Initiates that choose to take a negative approach, however, electing to treat others poorly, will be drained of their standing, limiting their ability to participate as their reputation is depleted. For members of positive standing, every vote on every poem and comment counts towards shaping the future of the collective. You decide your fate.

So I ask again, my fellow brothers and sisters. Do you have what it takes to be a poet of the Quill™?

About Street Cred

Street cred is not real money, it is the faux currency that drives the poetic underground economy. You earn it for positive actions as well as from the admiration of your fellow poets in the form of upvotes on your posts and comments. Various actions require that you spend street cred to perform them. You can also lose street cred through disapproval from fellow poets in the form of downvotes on your posts and comments, as well as through disciplinary actions taken by moderators against negative behavior. Disciplinary actions can result in your having less than zero street cred. Some activities, partipating in chat or commenting on posts for example, also require that you have a certain level of street cred even though they do not cost street cred to perform. You'll find the the full descriptions of the thresholds required as well as the various ways in which you gain and lose street cred below.

  • 0 to comment on posts.
